How to Verify My ID

The verification process takes just a few minutes. Record a selfie video, then scan a government-issued ID like a passport or driver’s licence. 

Use a smartphone with camera access and, if on an iPhone, use Safari. Ensure good lighting to avoid glare on your ID.

Here’s how to take the Selfie Video:

1. Make sure you’re the only person in the video.
2. Take your selfie video in a well-lit room for the best results.
3. Hold your phone at eye level while ensuring your face remains in the oval frame.
4. Carefully follow the instructions on the screen, moving your phone when prompted.
5. Ensure your face isn’t obstructed, for example, by hats, hair, or glasses.

Here’s how to Scan your ID:

1. Please use your most recent ID document, as we need to match your face with your ID photo.
2. Place your ID on a flat surface in a well-lit room when prompted.
3. Please ensure the camera flash is deactivated.
4. When scanning a driving licence or ID card, ensure all four corners of your ID are visible and all information on the ID, including your photo, is clear.
5. If you’re scanning a passport, please ensure all information on the identification page is visible, including your passport photo.
6. Once you’ve taken the photo, you’ll be asked to confirm all information is clearly visible. For example, if you can’t read your name and date of birth, please select the ‘retake’ button.
