Chat Fee: Get Paid for Receiving DM’s

Did you know that you can get paid every time somebody sends you a DM on KIQI?

Our new Chat Fee feature lets you set a price between £0.10 – £5.00 per DM (160 characters or 1 media message). 

Chat Fees can be applied globally (to all your Fans) or individually, giving you full control over how much you charge each Fan for sending messages.

Why use the Chat Fee?

With just a few clicks, you can start to monetize your inbox whilst you sleep.  

Imagine setting your Chat Fee to £1.00 a message and waking up to a hundred DM’s… You’d have earned £100 before you’ve even got out of bed.  

We believe that by allowing Creators to set prices for every DM they receive, it helps with the following:

• Additional revenue stream for Creators who get a lot of messages.
• Encourages better conversations between Creators and Fans.
• Prevents time-wasters slipping into the DM’s.

How to use the Chat Fee feature?

By default, the Chat Fee feature is turned off, but with just a few clicks you can activate it and start earning.

Set Chat Fee Globally

When you set a Chat Fee globally, it applies to everyone who sends you a message.

1. Sign in to KIQI and visit your inbox https://www.kiqi.app/message/inbox
2. Tap “£0 / Message” in the top right 
3. Set a price and hit “Save Chat Fee”

You will now start earning every time a Fan sends you a message. 

Note: The Global Chat Fee will be overridden by the Custom Chat Fee (below).

Set Chat Fee Individually (aka Custom Chat Fee)

If you want to set custom Chat Fee prices to individual Fans, you can do so easily:

1. Sign in to KIQI and open a private DM by pressing the chat icon.
2. Tap “£0 / Message” in the top right 
3. Set a price and hit “Save Chat Fee”

Note: Individual Chat Fees will overwrite the Global Chat Fee.

With just a few taps, you can start earning money for every DM you receive by activating the Chat Fee. Prices can be set either globally (to all your fans) or individually for more granular control.

Chat Fee prices can range between £0.10 – £5.00 per DM, for messages up to 160 characters or one media message. If a fan sends a message with more than 160 characters, they will be charged the price of two Chat Fees.
